ENGAGE.

In addition to education and knowledge, we would like to engage students in a dialogue to increase their understanding and awareness of the global issues that face our generation. These global issues may include such topics as climate change, global poverty, and international peace and security. As cliche it is to say, education truly is the first step before any meaning action or change occurs. Students need to be made aware of the world surrounding them and the issues at stake and understand what it means for them.


HOW ARE WE DOING THIS?

    Our main medium of engagement and dialogue is through simulation of the United Nations known as Model UN. The Connect Global Youth Association hosts the ConnectMUN conference in Vancouver each November for high school students. Project Connect also has a team of Ambassadors who actively work to improve MUN debate quality and assist school MUN clubs with content development and promotional tools. We also serve as an informational hub for Model United Nations participants in the Lower Mainland, providing information about conferences and helpful MUN resources.
